John N. Fouts, son of Frederick and
Catherine (Coblentz) Fouts, was born in Franklin Co, Ohio. He was married to Elizabeth Purdy and had
daughters born in 1868 and in 1870. He died December 18, 1873. Served in the Civil War as a Pvt., Co. C,133rd ONG Infantry, enlisted and
mustered 6 May 1864 at Westerville (Franklin Co), OH; mustered out 20 Aug 1864 at Columbus, OH.
