| George Walker grew up in Twin Township and served in the 110th Infantry, Company G under Col. J. Warren Keifer. He respected the Colonel so much that he named one of his sons after him. That was my great grandfather Warren Keifer Walker.
Elizabeth Newcomer grew up in Franklin Township. She was the daughter of Christian Newcomer.
They eventually moved from Darke County to Winnemac, Indiana in 1883. They lived there for 7 years. The next and final stop was Crawford County, Illinois.
Many of their descendants still live in Crawford County, IL.
This photo was taken in the early 1870s.
