| My dad, Virgil Deeter, was the leader of
this club; it was the Darke County Guernsey 4-H Club. At the time, about
1950, it was the largest single project 4-H club in Ohio. Frequently in
the winter we held our meetings in the basement of the Second National
Bank and that is where this pix was taken. Dad is standing (about
5'9") on the bench that went along that wall. That is where the
leaders sat during our meetings. I am the squirrelly looking kid in the
front row with the white open collar.
