Jacob Henning Jr. and Barbara Stiver/Staver
were the married in Montgomery Co., OH and had a family by the time they
arrived in Darke Co. They lived in Washington Twp. along with Jacob's
parents. Their children were John, Catharine Armstrong, Jacob III,
David, and Sarah. Jacob Jr. d. about 1841 and is probably buried in the
Dininger Cemetery, but no stone has been found. Barbara d. in 1881.
Below are the stones of Barbara, son Jacob III and his wife Lovina Heim,
daughter Sarah who d. at age 19 in 1859, and son David with his wife,
Frances Harris. |

John Henning and Elizabeth Finfrock were
the married in Miami Co., OH on 12 Oct. 1854. They lived in Washington
Twp. with John's widowed mother, Barbara. The stones of their first
three sons, who died as children are pictured in the middle row below
their parents, John and Elizabeth. The two young girls in the third row
are John and Elizabeth's granddaughters, Clara and Flora, daughters of
their son, John Curtis and his wife Mary Catharine (Stump). They died
within one day of each other in 1901. |
