Darlington & Mary (Potter) Jefferis, and Thomas & Christena (Thomas) Chenoweth were early settlers of Washington Twp., Darke Co. When their children, Milton Jefferis and Louisa Chenoweth married, an enduring bond between the two families was formed. The descendents of these families have lived in Darke County for many generations.
